Send Surveys Based on Medication Changes

The Digital 360 Health platform can send surveys based on newly prescribed medications or changes in the amount prescribed. Follow the steps below to add medications your office would like to monitor automatically:

1. Go to Setup.
2. Click Import Templates.
3. Click Edit for the Patient Medication Template.
4. Click the Medication Surveys tab. 
5. Click Add Medication Survey.
6. Enter a Title. For this example, we'll use Oxycodone.
7. Refer to the medications CSV file you exported from your EMR software and locate all the current listings for Oxycodone.
   
   Below is an example of what your list may look like:

   • OXYCODONE ER 13.5 MG PO C12A

   • OXYCODONE ER 18 MG PO C12A

   • OXYCODONE ER 27 MG PO C12A

   • OXYCODONE ER 36 MG PO C12A

   • OXYCODONE ER 9 MG PO C12A

8. Now, refer to your list to determine your aliases. Please note that you do not need to enter every medication. The platform uses a pattern-matching algorithm to locate the alias with an 80% accuracy match during import.
   
   Review the list and select one of each medication type to use as an alias, click + to enter the medication, and replace amounts with *** or XXX. 
   
   Below is the list of the aliases made from the complete medication list above:

   • OXYCODONE ER *** MG PO C12A

   • OXYCODONE HCL *** MG PO TABS

   • OXYCODONE HCL *** MG/5ML PO CONC

   • OXYCODONE HCL ER *** MG PO T12A

   • OXYCODONE-ACETAMINOPHEN ***-325 MG PO TABS

9. Choose which survey to send when a medication that matches an alias is newly prescribed, or the medication amount is changed, then click Save.

Optional: After saving, click Test to verify that the aliases entered will find matching medications on the list during import. Enter the medication name, then click Run.

In the image below, the test returns that "OXYCODONE HCL 5 MG PO CAPS" is found since it matches at least 80% of the alias "OXYCODONE HCL *** MG PO TABS."
