Messaging Categories

Message categories allow patient messages to be directed to a specific admin(s) or provider(s) based on the patient's selected message topic.

Follow the steps below to create message categories:

  1. Go to Setup.

  2. Click Messaging Categories.

  3. Click the Add button.

  4. Enter the category Title.

  5. Assign user(s) and set the notification settings for the message category.
  6. Click Save.

Note: "Prescription Refills" and "Other" are required message categories. "From Alerting System" and "From Monitoring System" will not be seen on the patient end, but it is how the platform categorizes those items appropriately.
